"The Unmoving Hands," a queer horror thriller by Barcelona-based director Victor Diago, has been selected as one of five projects for the Madrid Film School (ECAM) Incubator, a prestigious Spanish development programme. The film explores themes of desire, love and predatory power dynamics, framed as a supernatural allegory of late capitalism within Barcelona's El Raval neighbourhood.

The narrative follows Hector, who procures young men for his 140-year-old father known as the Doctor, who sustains himself through their vital energy—a dynamic Diago deliberately presents without clear moral boundaries between predators and victims. The project has progressed through several international development forums, secured backing from Spanish streaming platform Filmin, and will feature an international cast performing in Catalan, Spanish, French and Arabic. Producers are seeking co-production partners and additional funding from regional and national television sources, and are developing a short film as proof of concept and to help finance the feature.
