Rachel Chinouriri has announced her second album, I think I spoke too soon, due for release on 16 October, alongside its lead single, “One song away from crying”. The announcement follows a busy period after her debut album What A Devastating Turn Of Events, during which she toured with major artists and released further music, signalling the next significant stage in her career.

Chinouriri says the album reflects her life from ages 22 to 27, exploring sobriety, personal change, femininity and relationships. “One song away from crying” pairs shimmering synth-pop and disco influences with lyrics about appearing glamorous on a night out while privately feeling distressed; its accompanying visual was directed by Dora Paphides. The album will be released through Atlas Artists, Parlophone and Warner Records.
