US distributor Bleecker Street has acquired the American rights to "NDA", a psychological thriller starring Golden Globe winner Rachel Zegler alongside Penn Badgley ("You") and Academy Award nominee Amy Ryan. The film is the debut feature of writer-director Audrey Ellis Fox, whose original script appeared on the 2024 Black List, and is currently in production in New York. The deal marks another high-profile project for Zegler, whose career has risen sharply since "West Side Story".
Zegler plays Dana, a woman enduring a fraught day of mediation over an office harassment claim she has filed, forcing her to weigh "the price of her silence, sanity and the truth". The film is being produced by a team including Jared Ian Goldman and Zola Elgart Glassman for Mighty Engine, Keith Calder and Jess Wu Calder for SNOOT, Caitlin Gold and Daniel Ginsberg, with Bleecker Street CEO Kent Sanderson among the executive producers. Ellis Fox is an established commercial director for brands such as Nike and Netflix, while Zegler's upcoming work includes reprising "Evita" on Broadway in 2027 and roles in Lin-Manuel Miranda's "Octet" adaptation and the dramedy "She Gets It From Me".
