Raffaella Braun and Annie Ortmeier have become co-presidents of Nashville label Triple Tigers, forming what is understood to be the first all-female co-presidency at a country label of note. Braun, previously the label's vice president of radio promotion, stepped into the role after Kevin Herring announced on 6 July that he was standing down as co-president, with Ortmeier remaining in place. The change coincides with women holding all top five positions on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart for five consecutive weeks, only the fifth time since 1980 that this has happened, and the first time it has lasted beyond a fortnight.

Braun moved to Nashville from Montclair, New Jersey, to study at Vanderbilt University in 1998 and went on to spend nine years at CAA before moving into country radio promotion at Warner Music Nashville and then Triple Tigers, working closely under Herring throughout. Triple Tigers, founded 10 years ago as a joint venture between Thirty Tigers, Sony Music's The Orchard and George Couri's Triple 8 Management, has released 26 singles to radio, with half reaching number one on Billboard's Country Airplay chart and a further four making the top 10, a 65% top-tier success rate. Ortmeier says Braun's radio expertise ensures continuity at the top of the label, reflecting how central radio promotion remains to the company's strategy.
