Bengali film actor Parno Mittra is making her producing debut with "The Music Teacher," a British-Indian short film starring Raima Sen that begins principal photography this month in Kolkata. The project marks the launch of Mittra's new production banner, Unscripted Co, co-producing alongside Tabernacle Street Films of the UK, and represents a significant step for Mittra after more than two decades as one of Bengali cinema's most established performers.

The short is written and directed by Shrimoyee Chakraborty, marking her first Bengali narrative film, with editor Aarti Bajaj (known for "Jab We Met" and "Sacred Games") serving as co-producer. Inspired by Chakraborty's mother, the story is set in North Kolkata and follows a young man battling depression who finds healing through a teacher of Rabindra Sangeet, the song genre composed by Rabindranath Tagore. Raima Sen plays the title role, with Niranjan Mondal completing the cast.
