The issue matters because it can abruptly close the software and force players to restart, although it is easily avoided.

Reports indicate that placing an entire hand across the touchscreen during this loading screen can trigger the crash, a problem Nintendo Life says it reproduced several times. Players instead see an error message stating that the software was closed; avoiding full-hand contact, or not touching the screen at all, prevents the problem. Nintendo has not announced a fix, though such faults are typically addressed through patches.
