Rangers chairman Andrew Cavenagh has said he expects between three and five more signings before the transfer window closes, while acknowledging that the club's results so far this season have fallen short of expectations. Speaking to shareholders at an open forum in Glasgow, Cavenagh described the summer's transfer business as "clunky" but insisted the club was working hard to build sustained success under new manager Derek McInnes.

Rangers have signed nine new players this summer but have taken only one point from their first two Scottish Premiership matches, and trail Polish side Jagiellonia Bialystok 2-1 going into Thursday's Europa League qualifying second leg at Ibrox. Cavenagh said some players would likely also leave before the window shuts. Chief executive Jim Gillespie, also present, said the club chose a "Klopp-style" manager in McInnes and confirmed Rangers are seeking clarification from the SFA over a VAR decision that led to a penalty in Sunday's 2-1 defeat by Hibernian.
