Rangers have been eliminated from the Uefa Conference League after losing 4-3 on penalties to Jablonec, following a 1-0 defeat in the second leg in Czechia. The result ends their European season in August and adds pressure to Derek McInnes’s rebuilding project after their earlier Europa League qualifying exit.

Rangers’ first-leg advantage was cancelled by Vakhtang Chanturishvili’s 73rd-minute goal, leaving the tie level at 1-1 on aggregate after extra time. Ivor Pandur saved one Jablonec penalty, but Findlay Curtis missed and James Penrice was denied before Jan Chramosta scored the decisive kick; Motherwell also exited, losing 4-1 at Freiburg and 7-2 on aggregate after Jake Girdwood-Reich was sent off.
