Ravens get nightmare Tyler Huntley injury update as season hangs in the balance

The Baltimore Ravens face a serious shortage at quarterback after backup Tyler Huntley suffered a season-ending turf toe injury in Sunday’s 36-10 loss to Buffalo. With Lamar Jackson also expected to go on injured reserve and no return date reported, the injuries could complicate the team’s season as it prepares to play Jacksonville on a short week.

Undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano is still expected to start Thursday despite an ankle issue that kept him out of Tuesday’s practice. He completed 10 of 21 passes for 91 yards, no touchdowns and one interception against Buffalo; Kaden Slovis is set to back him up, while Austin Reed has joined the practice squad as a likely emergency option. The article says it remains unclear whether Baltimore will seek a quarterback before next week’s trade deadline.
