Prime Video is promoting the success of Ride or Die, an action-comedy series starring Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham that reportedly reached number one on streaming charts after premiering last month. An exclusive behind-the-scenes featurette highlights the show’s action sequences, European settings and focus on two women in their fifties taking on leading roles in a genre where that remains unusual.

Spencer plays Debbie, the seemingly ordinary wife of a British government official, while Waddingham plays Judith, her long-time friend and a secret assassin who targets criminals. After a mission goes wrong and Debbie receives difficult personal news, the pair flee across Europe while being pursued by hitmen and law enforcement; the cast also includes Ed Skrein, Calam Lynch and Bill Nighy, with Tessa Coates as creator and Matt Miller as showrunner.
