Alexander brothers’ parents seek leniency as prosecutors pursue life sentences

Daily Mail ·

The parents of brothers Tal, Oren and Alon Alexander have asked a federal judge to show mercy when sentencing their sons, who were convicted of sex trafficking offences. Their appeals, alongside letters from the brothers’ wives, emphasise family life and charitable work, but stand in sharp contrast to testimony from women who described being drugged and sexually assaulted.

Prosecutors say their investigation identified at least 70 women who were raped or sexually assaulted by one or more of the brothers over nearly two decades. They are seeking life sentences; federal probation officials recommended 195 years for Oren and 180 years each for Alon and Tal, while defence lawyers are seeking 15 years apiece. Sentencing is scheduled for 27 October.

  • The brothers’ parents and wives have asked the judge for leniency.
