Reading & Leeds 2026 organisers have released early weather forecasts for both festival sites ahead of next week's event, following a summer marked by heatwaves and severe weather disruption at festivals across the UK and Europe. The dual festival runs over the August Bank Holiday weekend and will feature headline sets from Florence + The Machine, Charli XCX, Fontaines D.C., Dave, RAYE and Chase & Status, with Leeds hosting Kasabian on a newly permitted Thursday show.

Forecasts predict mild, changeable conditions rather than extreme heat, with Reading expecting highs of 22-23°C and a mix of thundery showers, light rain and some sunshine across the five days, while Leeds is set for slightly cooler highs of 19-21°C with mostly light rain throughout. This follows a turbulent summer for European festivals, including the cancellation of Katy Perry's 55,000-capacity Werchter Boutique show near Brussels due to storms and a disrupted set from The B-52's in France, though conditions appear to be easing as Reading & Leeds approaches.
