Real Madrid sweep aside Valencia to move level with Barcelona

Real Madrid beat Valencia 3-0 away to move level on points with LaLiga leaders Barcelona. The win was their eighth in a row, extending the strong run that followed their El Clasico victory, while Barcelona retain the lead on goal difference and have a game in hand.

Federico Valverde opened the scoring in the 28th minute, Arda Guler made it 2-0 eight minutes later, and Kylian Mbappe added a third in the 75th. Valencia captain Jose Gaya was sent off five minutes afterwards. Valencia have nine points from 12 matches, sit second-bottom and are still without a home win this season; Barcelona can extend their lead when they visit Atletico Madrid on Sunday.
