Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Grohl and Vince Staples will headline Silverlake Conservatory of Music’s 25th anniversary benefit concert at Hollywood Palladium on 17 October. The event will replace the organisation’s usual private benefit dinner and aims to raise $1.5 million to fund its music education programmes for the coming year.

Founded in 2001 by Flea, Keith “Tree” Barry and Peter Weiss, the conservatory provides music lessons to more than 900 students each week across Los Angeles. Its scholarship programme supports over 200 students from families unable to afford tuition, supplying free lessons, instruments, materials, ensemble classes and events; tickets, including sponsorship and VIP options, go on sale on 25 September, with the complete lineup still to be announced.
