Red Lobster has reinstated its Endless Shrimp promotion after emerging from Chapter 11 bankruptcy, saying customers continued to ask for it. The decision is notable because making the offer permanent was widely blamed as one contributor to the chain’s earlier financial troubles, although other structural problems also played a role.

The seafood chain filed for bankruptcy in May 2024 after closing dozens of restaurants, with the promotion reportedly generating an $11 million loss. Its turnaround has also included revised pricing, new menu offers and efforts to address costly lease commitments; the returning all-you-can-eat deal is intended to be limited rather than permanent.
