Beta Film is backing a new six-part Italian TV series that dramatises the true story of the family behind the world-famous Panini sticker albums, a fixture of World Cup and other major tournament fandom for decades. Titled "The Panini Family – Album of Dreams" and directed by Letizia Lamartire, the series is produced by Indigo Film with Rai Fiction and will air on Rai 1 and Rai Play, with Beta handling international distribution.

The story traces the Panini family from their impoverished beginnings in Modena in 1940, when the family of eight children was held together by their mother, Olga, through to the creation of the sticker empire that has since grown into a global conglomerate producing books, comics, magazines and trading cards. Serena Rossi stars as Olga, alongside a cast including Simone Liberati, Federico Cesari and Edoardo Pesce. The announcement is timed to coincide with the World Cup final, offering what Deadline suggests could be a consolation for Italian fans after their team missed out on the tournament for a third consecutive time, and it joins a wave of recent family-dynasty dramas such as House of Guinness and House of Gucci.
