Netflix will add six Resident Evil films in early September 2026, expanding its selection of content from the long-running video game franchise. The arrivals give viewers access to both entries from the Milla Jovovich-led live-action series and animated films tied to Capcom’s official game continuity, ahead of Zach Cregger’s planned reboot.

Resident Evil: Afterlife, Extinction and Retribution will be available from 1 September, while animated titles Damnation, Death Island and Vendetta follow on 2 September. The live-action franchise ran for six films between 2002 and 2016 and earned more than $1.2 billion worldwide, making it one of the most commercially successful video game adaptations.
