LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a polished, funny and enjoyable action-adventure that brings TT Games’ familiar formula to an open-world Gotham City. Although it is less ambitious than LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and does not radically reinvent the series, its strong humour, abundant Batman references and satisfying gameplay make it a successful Switch 2 port.

The story combines familiar elements from across Batman’s 90-year history, while missions feature light platforming, puzzles, combat and collectible-hunting. Combat adds Arkham-inspired enemy types, blocking, dodging and stealth, but later encounters can become repetitive and button-heavy; five playable characters, couch co-op and Gotham’s broader exploration provide additional variety.
