Neagley is a new Prime Video spinoff series centred on Frances Neagley (Maria Sten), a supporting character from the critically acclaimed Reacher series. The show follows her investigation into the suspicious death of her childhood friend Tommy on Chicago's L train, which leads her into a dangerous conspiracy involving a cult and illegal drug development. Whilst the series has some uneven elements, it largely succeeds in delivering entertaining escapist television that lives up to its parent show's legacy.

Set in Chicago, Neagley partners with detective Hudson Riley and recruits others including administrative assistant Renee Birdwhistle to investigate Tommy's death at Echo Canyon Farm, a commune run by cult leader Lawrence Cole. The opening episode is somewhat sluggish and relies heavily on Chicago references, but the pace accelerates as narrative threads converge towards the climax. Whilst the antagonists are stock characters and the psychedelic drug-development plotline is contrived, the series maintains sufficient momentum and entertainment value that viewers can overlook these shortcomings, which align with the over-the-top nature typical of the Reacher universe.
