President Andre Curtis is a recurring character in the animated science-fiction comedy Rick and Morty. He is the fictional US president, voiced by Keith David, and has often clashed or worked with the show’s central characters during unusual crises.

President Curtis turns that supporting role into a separate comedy series. Dan Harmon, a co-creator of Rick and Morty, and James Siciliano created the spin-off, with Curtis’s White House staff also playing a central part.

The series is part of Adult Swim’s expansion of the Rick and Morty universe, which has been on air since 2013. A second-series order before the first has aired indicates that the network intends to continue developing the character and the wider franchise.
