Ricky Hatton's former home in Gee Cross, Greater Manchester, has been sold for £1.5million, some £350,000 below its original asking price. The five-bedroom, six-bathroom property was where the boxing champion's body was found by his manager last September, when he died aged 46, and its sale comes amid reports of a dispute over how his estimated £40million estate will be divided among family members.

Land registry documents show the sale went through earlier this year. Hatton had originally put the house on the market for £1.85million shortly before his death, then withdrew it, before relisting at successively lower prices of £1.75million and £1.65million ahead of the eventual £1.5million sale. Built in 2010, the house featured a heated indoor pool, cinema and games room, a private gym, and personal touches including Manchester City memorabilia and seating from the club's former Maine Road ground.
