‘Rings of Power’ Is Officially Destroying Its Winning Formula in Season 3
Prime Video will release the third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power in three batches during November, rather than following the previous seasons’ pattern of a small premiere followed by weekly episodes. The change means the eight-episode season will conclude only two weeks after it begins, shortening its weekly viewing run and potentially reducing the length of discussion around the series.
The first four episodes are due to arrive on 11 November, with episodes five and six released on 18 November and the final two episodes on 25 November. Seasons one and two premiered with two or three episodes before moving to weekly releases; Prime Video has used a similar hybrid approach for programmes including The Boys. The new season is scheduled to debut later in 2026, amid renewed attention on the wider Lord of the Rings franchise ahead of The Hunt for Gollum in 2027.
