Rise Against have released two new singles, “Katy Bar the Door” and “Living Undercover”, ahead of their autumn US tour with Alkaline Trio. The releases underline both the band’s politically engaged punk identity and its more personal, introspective songwriting, while building momentum for the forthcoming run of shows.

“Katy Bar the Door” responds to ICE raids in the United States and concerns about abuses of power, with singer Tim McIlrath describing democratic fragility as demanding a response. “Living Undercover” explores secrecy, shame and fear, contrasting with the first track’s overt political focus; the joint tour begins on 22 September and ends on 23 October.
