Robert Pattinson’s A24 Thriller Is Officially Being Pulled From Over 600 Theaters

Collider ·

A24’s thriller *Primetime*, starring Robert Pattinson as journalist Chris Hansen, lost 625 North American theatres in its third weekend. The drop comes despite positive reviews and reflects sharply declining ticket sales as the film’s theatrical run contracts.

The film opened on 25 September and has earned about $41.5 million domestically. Its weekend takings fell from $18.8 million at launch to $7.7 million in the second weekend and roughly $4 million in the third, a 48% drop; it is now showing in 2,269 theatres, down from 2,894. Directed by Lance Oppenheim, the film explores the making of *To Catch a Predator* and the ethics of its methods.
