A tribute concert is being organised at London's Royal Albert Hall to honour BBC Radio 2 presenter Bob Harris following his recent departure from the station. Harris ended his 30-year tenure at Radio 2 in June after developing prostate cancer, which has since spread to his spine. The event, titled 'Stand By Me: Bob Harris – A Celebration of Life in Music,' aims to recognise his enduring influence across more than five decades of broadcasting.

The December 2nd concert will bring together prominent musicians including Robert Plant, Roger Daltrey, Paul Weller, and Rick Wakeman to perform selections that Harris championed throughout his career. The evening will feature live music alongside recollections from fellow broadcasters and artists who have worked with him, supplemented by archival footage from his extensive broadcast history. Tickets go on sale August 7th for the performance.
