Plant's influence on Americana extends beyond his own recordings to his high-profile collaborations with artists like Alison Krauss and producer T Bone Burnett, whose joint work introduced millions to the genre. His work was so impactful that the Recording Academy created a dedicated Best Americana Album category, and he has continued exploring roots music through projects with other respected artists in recent years.
