Rod Stewart has cancelled the next four weeks of shows on his "One Last Time" farewell tour and "The Encore Shows" Las Vegas residency, his representative has confirmed, after the 81-year-old singer underwent a routine coronary stent procedure. His team said doctors are "pleased with his recovery" and that Stewart has resumed normal daily activities but needs further rest before performing again, following a last-minute postponement of a Cincinnati show days earlier that had only been attributed to a "minor medical procedure."

The cancellations affect a Cleveland arena show that had been due to take place the day of the announcement, a Kansas City date set for this coming Saturday, and a run of Las Vegas residency performances scheduled to resume on 18 August, along with further tour stops in Minnesota, Illinois and Mexico. Stewart, who has toured with Richard Marx since 2024, said in a statement that he was "already feeling better" and thanked medical staff, while apologising to fans. The health scare is the latest in a string of disruptions this year, following two cancelled Las Vegas shows and a late San Diego cancellation in June, plus an incident where he paused a Utah concert to use an oxygen tank backstage.
