Rod Wave has scored his fourth number one album on the Billboard 200 chart, with Don't Look Down debuting at the top of the list dated 12 September. The album earned 99,000 equivalent units in its first week in the United States, driven largely by streaming, according to Luminate. This continues Rod Wave's run of chart-topping releases, following Nostalgia (2023), Beautiful Mind (2022) and SoulFly (2021), and marks his eighth consecutive top 10 project on the chart.

Of Don't Look Down's first-week units, streaming accounted for 90,000 (95.07 million on-demand streams), while sales contributed 9,000 units. The album was released in a 20-track standard edition and an expanded 24-track version, alongside multiple vinyl and CD variants, including signed copies. Elsewhere on the chart, Alex Warren achieved his highest-charted album yet as WILDCHILD debuted at number two with 75,000 units, his best week by sales. Former chart-toppers by Ella Langley, Olivia Rodrigo, Morgan Wallen and Noah Kahan rounded out the rest of the top 10, while Dolly Parton's Ultimate Dolly Parton slipped to number seven following its posthumous chart resurgence.
