Roger Taylor Has Bad News for Fans Wanting New Queen Music With Adam Lambert

Queen drummer Roger Taylor says the band never completed any new music with Adam Lambert, though he regrets that they did not. His comments explain why fans are unlikely to hear a Queen release featuring Lambert, while making clear that the lack of a collaboration was not due to bad blood.

Taylor said he admired Lambert’s voice and thought they could have made good music, but Lambert had other commitments and it did not work out. Lambert toured with Queen for ten years, a period Taylor described as successful and satisfying; he praised Lambert as an unselfish performer who never tried to imitate Freddie Mercury. Taylor was speaking while promoting his September solo album, *Violence Insane in a Beautiful World*.
