Rogers warns Michigan voters against El-Sayed’s ‘extreme’ agenda ahead of election

Fox News ·

Michigan Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers used a town hall with Sean Hannity to criticise his Democratic opponent, Abdul El-Sayed, calling his agenda extreme and warning it would harm the state. The remarks came as Rogers made a case to voters ahead of the election, promoting his campaign’s outreach and proposals on jobs, housing and education.

Rogers alleged El-Sayed supports defunding the police, releasing criminals from prison and the Green New Deal; these were Rogers’s characterisations, and El-Sayed’s campaign was not immediately available to respond. Rogers said volunteers had knocked on nearly six million doors and claimed the campaign was drawing support from some traditionally Democratic voters. He also discussed antisemitic harassment described by a Jewish attendee, expanding defence industry work, making home-buying easier for young adults and restoring shop classes in high schools.
