  • Les Arcs selected 17 European film projects.
  • This year drew a record 496 submissions.
  • Two development awards total €26,000.

Explained simply

European films are often financed by several production companies working together across borders. A project may seek partners, funding and distribution in more than one country before filming begins.

Les Arcs Coproduction Village is an industry event linked to the Les Arcs Film Festival in France. It introduces films still in development to producers and other industry professionals, and its awards provide money to support selected projects.

The filmmakers named in the story come from different European countries and stages of their careers. Their projects are part of a wider selection that includes debut films as well as work by experienced directors.
