Singer-songwriter Role Model (real name Tucker Pillsbury) has opened up about the personal journey behind his forthcoming album, *Chuck Timely & the Hourglass*, revealing in a new interview that writing the record prompted him to begin therapy for the first time. He also reflected on the enduring success of his breakout hit "Sally, When the Wine Runs Out" and discussed how his girlfriend, actress Dakota Johnson, ended up featuring on the new record, offering fans insight into both his creative process and personal life ahead of the album's release.

Speaking to NYLON, Role Model said the introspective writing process led directly to his decision to start therapy, describing the album as something that made him "look at myself a little bit deeper." He spoke fondly but self-deprecatingly of "Sally", which entered Billboard's Alternative Adult Airplay chart in 2025, joking it contains "some of my worst lyrics" despite its popularity. He also revealed Johnson spontaneously recorded a spoken-word bridge for the track "Love I You" during a studio visit. The album, out Friday 7 August, also features previously released singles "Joy" and "High Hopes 3000", the latter of which reached No. 94 on the Billboard Hot 100.
