Australian hard rock band Rose Tattoo have cancelled all remaining dates of their summer 2026 European tour after frontman Gary "Angry" Anderson was hospitalised with a "medical issue". The band announced the decision via social media on Monday 10 August, expressing devastation at being unable to complete the tour and asking fans to respect Anderson's and his family's privacy while he receives treatment. No details of the illness were disclosed, and it is not yet known whether or how the cancellation will affect the band's wider plans.

Tickets for the cancelled shows can be refunded at their original point of purchase. The 79-year-old Anderson, the band's sole remaining original member, had recently said 2026 would mark Rose Tattoo's final year of touring in Europe and Australia, with one last run of US dates planned for 2027, and had spoken of hopes to record a new studio album for late 2026 or early 2027. Rose Tattoo, known for songs including "Bad Boy For Love" and "Nice Boys", have released eight studio albums since 1978, and six former members, including four of the original line-up, have died in recent years.
