Angry Anderson, the 79-year-old frontman of Australian hard rock band Rose Tattoo, has suffered a cardiac arrest and remains hospitalised, his bandmates confirmed in a statement. The news follows the cancellation three weeks ago of the remaining dates on Rose Tattoo's summer 2026 European tour, which had been attributed at the time to an unspecified "medical issue" affecting the singer.

The band's statement, released 20 days after Anderson's hospitalisation, thanked fans for their support and asked that the singer's privacy be respected while he receives treatment. Nine shows remained on the "One Last Ride" European tour when Anderson was hospitalised, and it is unclear whether Rose Tattoo's planned September farewell shows across Australia, including Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane, will now proceed. Anderson has fronted the band since its first gig in 1976, and six former members, including four of the original lineup, have died in recent years.
