Rosie O'Donnell has revealed she plans to poke fun at Donald Trump with a "love song" when she guest-hosts Jimmy Kimmel Live in August, brushing aside any concerns about the FCC censoring her under the Trump administration. The move comes as the FCC, led by chairman Brendan Carr, continues what ABC has called an "ongoing retaliation campaign" against the network over its coverage of Trump, which previously saw Kimmel's own show briefly suspended.

Speaking on Kara Swisher's podcast, O'Donnell said she has no intention of self-censoring, declaring "I don't listen to them. I don't pay any heed to them" about the FCC. She teased lyrics for the planned musical bit, including lines addressed directly to Trump such as "hello, Donny, I know you're watching, Donny" and jokes about him "leaving Melania" for her. O'Donnell, a 12-time Emmy winner with a long-running public feud with Trump, is set to host the ABC late-night show the week of 17 August as part of a summer guest-host lineup that also includes Tiffany Haddish, Matt Damon and Jelly Roll.
