RÜFÜS DU SOL Plan to Lay Low For ‘A Solid Amount of Time’

Billboard · 2 hours ago

RÜFÜS DU SOL have said they will take an extended break from touring once their current Inhale / Exhale World Tour ends, returning only when they have new music to promote. The announcement matters because it follows a particularly successful global run that has set several milestones for the Australian electronic trio.

Frontman Tyrone Lindqvist made the comments during an 6 August show at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, where the group is playing five dates. The tour concludes with Austin City Limits performances in October, after further US and Canadian dates; it has included a Rose Bowl headline show and four nights at Madison Square Garden. Their 2025 Australian tour sold 150,000 tickets, helping bring their annual headline total to 750,000, while Inhale / Exhale reached No. 3 in Australia.

  • RÜFÜS DU SOL will pause touring after October.
  • The group will return when new music is ready.
  • Their current tour has broken major electronic-music records.

RÜFÜS DU SOL are an Australian electronic music trio made up of Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt. They are known for combining dance music with live instruments, vocals and atmospheric production, and have built a large audience through albums, festival appearances and arena-scale shows.

The group’s Inhale / Exhale World Tour supports their album of the same name and has taken them across North America and Australia. Touring is a major part of how established music acts reach audiences and promote new releases, so a lengthy pause would mean fewer live appearances until the band chooses to return with further material.
