Rufus Sewell, Frances O’Connor, Alycia Debnam-Carey & Te Kohe Tuhaka To Lead Newly Greenlit Netflix Series ‘Queenstown’ From Chloe Stearns
Netflix has commissioned *Queenstown*, an eight-part drama set in New Zealand’s luxury ski scene, with Rufus Sewell, Frances O’Connor, Alycia Debnam-Carey and Te Kohe Tuhaka leading the cast. The series will explore conflicts over power, loyalty and desire between a wealthy family and those who work for them, marking Netflix Australia and New Zealand’s first series both set and filmed in New Zealand.
Created by Chloe Stearns, the drama is already in production in Queenstown, with Glendyn Ivin directing the lead episodes and Roseanne Liang also directing. It is produced by Silent Firework and Runaway Unicorn, and Netflix says the production will support local crew, businesses and emerging talent through collaboration with New Zealand’s screen sector and public production incentives.
