Canadian rock band Rush are reportedly in talks to bring a live residency to Las Vegas's Sphere venue, according to American Songwriter, citing an unnamed source. The move would add another major act to the venue's growing lineup, which has already welcomed acts such as Metallica, as the Sphere seeks to establish itself as a long-term destination for premium live entertainment following its opening less than three years ago.

The source claims negotiations between Rush and the Sphere have been ongoing secretly for some time, with contracts potentially being finalised within the next couple of weeks. Rush, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013, have sold more than 50 million albums and are known for hits including "Tom Sawyer", "Limelight" and "The Spirit of Radio". The source also indicated the Sphere is planning a rotating roster of acts over the next five years, though neither Rush nor the venue's representatives have publicly confirmed the reported talks.
