Rush are reportedly close to finalising a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, according to sources cited by The Sun and SiriusXM host Eddie Trunk, though neither the band nor the venue has officially confirmed the plans. The Canadian prog-rock band, now performing as Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson alongside drummer Anika Nilles on their "Fifty Something" tour, would join a growing roster of major acts to have played the venue since it opened in 2023, offering fans another way to experience the band's music following the death of longtime drummer Neil Peart in 2020.

A source told The Sun that talks had been "secretly going on" for some time and that contracts could be locked down within weeks, while Eddie Trunk claimed on his radio show that the deal was "done" and could comprise as many as 18 shows. The Sphere, which cost $2.3 billion (£1.7 billion) to build, has previously hosted U2, Phish, Dead & Company, the Eagles, the Backstreet Boys and No Doubt, with Metallica's residency due to begin later this year and already extended into 2027 due to demand. Rush's current tour continues across North America before heading to the UK, Europe and South America in 2027.
