Russell Crowe’s ‘Mindhunter’ Replacement Officially Loses Steam

Russell Crowe’s thriller *Unabomber* has dropped out of Netflix’s top 10 charts in the US and worldwide after a month of strong viewership. Despite poor reviews, it attracted more than 50 million views, making it a solid hit, though its decline comes as Crowe’s better-reviewed film *The Weight* gains attention on premium video-on-demand platforms.

*Unabomber*, which also stars Jacob Tremblay and Shailene Woodley, follows Ted Kaczynski’s early life and the FBI manhunt decades later. It took four weeks to reach its viewership total, while Ben Affleck’s *Animals* passed 100 million views in under two weeks; *Unabomber* has a 24% Rotten Tomatoes score. Crowe is set to appear in the forthcoming *Highlander* reboot starring Henry Cavill.
