Marvel boss Kevin Feige revealed that Gosling, a keen comics reader, approached the studio with this concept himself, though the actor has chosen to keep the finer details under wraps for now, letting the announcement speak for itself.

The film, directed by Shawn Levy, is set for release in 2028, with only an official logo and the director's attachment confirmed so far. It remains unclear which incarnation of the character will appear on screen, as the comics feature both Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch as Ghost Rider.
