Ryan Hemsworth Signs to Topshelf for First Album in Eight Years
Canadian producer Ryan Hemsworth has signed with Topshelf Records and announced Numbskull, his first album in eight years. Due out on 21 October, the record marks his first full-length release since 2018’s Elsewhere and signals a return to a varied, collaboration-led approach.
Numbskull spans trip-hop, electroclash, hyperpop and rave, while its first single, “One Step”, combines Southern rap, UK hardcore and punk influences. The album features Sarah Tudzin of Illuminati Hotties, Tegan and Sara, Nana Lourdes, Allie and MSpaint; Hemsworth will support George Clanton in November, though no headline tour has been announced.
