Ryan Murphy says he has completed a script for a potential Glee reboot, bringing the long-discussed revival closer to reality. He has spoken with about 10 original cast members, who have responded enthusiastically, although none has read the script and no production has been confirmed.

Murphy co-wrote the project with Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, his collaborators on the show’s first two seasons. Glee aired on Fox from 2009 to 2015, and Murphy said renewed interest was inspired by reuniting American Horror Story cast members; he also revealed that Ariana Grande was considered for an AHS appearance and said he was open to reviving Scream Queens.
