The series recorded 12.2 million views during its first four days, matching The Ed Gein Story and falling just 0.1 million short of The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. However, it remains well behind The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which achieved 22.3 million views in the same period; critics have given the new series a 40% Rotten Tomatoes score.
