Sadie Sink Gives ‘X-Men’ Filming Update, Says She’s Being Kept “Separate” From Cyclops Casting
Sadie Sink has said filming on Marvel Studios’ forthcoming X-Men reboot is planned for next year, following her introduction as the telekinetic and telepathic mutant Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. She said she is not closely involved in casting Cyclops, learning developments from director Jake Schreier rather than through the formal process, while expressing confidence in the developing ensemble.
Deadline previously reported that Kit Connor has read for Cyclops/Scott Summers, who is Jean Grey’s traditional love interest, although Sink said she did not know whether that was official. The report also says Samara Weaving has been offered the role of Emma Frost; after X-Men, Sink expects to film FX and A24 series The Marriage Plot.
