Sam Elliott's 2002 Vietnam War film We Were Soldiers has re-entered the streaming charts more than two decades after its cinema release, climbing to No. 9 on Lionsgate+ worldwide and reaching No. 1 among films and No. 3 overall on the platform in Germany. The revival highlights the enduring appeal of the war epic, which co-stars Mel Gibson and features Elliott in one of the standout roles of his decades-long career.

The film follows Lt. Col. Hal Moore (Gibson) as he leads American troops into the 1965 Battle of Ia Drang, promising to bring every soldier home.
