Sam Fender and Olivia Dean’s collaboration ‘Rein Me In’ has become the UK’s longest-running number one single, after spending 19 weeks atop the Official Singles Chart. It overtakes Frankie Laine’s 1953 hit ‘I Believe’, which held the previous record at 18 weeks, and marks a significant chart milestone for the two British artists.
Released on 20 June 2025, ‘Rein Me In’ took 35 weeks from its chart debut to reach number one, setting the record for the longest climb to the summit. Since reaching the top in February, it has become Fender’s first UK number one and the first single to return to number one four times during the same chart run.
