Former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth has cancelled all remaining dates of his North American tour, except for one show on 7 August at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. The reason for the cancellations has not been confirmed, though speculation has centred on poor ticket sales. In response, Sammy Hagar, Roth's fellow former Van Halen singer and long-time rival, posted a heartfelt video message offering support and inviting Roth to join his Las Vegas residency.

Hagar's tour began in April and had been running until the recent cancellations, prompting his emotional reaction on social media, in which he expressed hope Roth was not facing health problems and praised his efforts to keep Van Halen's music alive. Hagar went further by inviting Roth to appear at his "Sammy Hagar: The Best of All Worlds" residency at Dolby Live in Las Vegas this September, suggesting he could sing songs or MC the show. The gesture is notable given Hagar's more dismissive comments about touring with Roth in a 2025 interview, where he cited Roth's reported vocal struggles and difficult behaviour during their 2002 tour together.
