Beyond basic item tracking, the SmartTag 3 introduces pet-focused monitoring capabilities through the SmartThings app, enabling users to track their pet's location, physical activity levels, and sleep patterns. However, the tag is limited in scope compared to dedicated pet health trackers—it does not capture vital signs such as heart rate or blood oxygen levels, making it primarily a movement and location solution rather than a comprehensive health monitor.
