Leaked images and specifications for Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 8 have surfaced just ahead of the phone's official unveiling, suggesting the new model will look and perform almost identically to last year's Galaxy Z Flip 7. The leak, shared by WinFuture and reported on by 9to5Google, indicates Samsung has largely kept the same design rather than pursuing major changes, which may temper expectations for a substantial upgrade cycle this year.

According to the leaked details, the Z Flip 8 will use Samsung's own Exynos 2600 chip rather than a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, succeeding the Exynos 2500 found in the Z Flip 7, with 45W wired charging as the other notable improvement. The displays are reportedly unchanged, with a 6.9-inch inner Dynamic AMOLED screen and a 4.1-inch outer Super AMOLED screen, alongside the same 256GB storage and 12GB RAM as its predecessor. New colour options including pale pink, cream white and graphite black are expected, and Samsung is due to formally reveal the device at a Galaxy Unpacked event on 22 July.
